This is Dominic's father, Aaron. He's a history teacher, aged somewhere in his 40s, standing at approximately 5'8", and bisexual (he ends up marrying a man, Richard, after him and Dominic's mother divorce; I'm planning on drawing Richard soon but no promises).
Dominic gets most of his looks from his father (red hair included, although Aaron's mostly gone grey by now).
I saw a drawing of one of your ocs named Felicity and I want to know more about them. Like maybe a general bio, what their role is in the story, what they like and dislike?
AHH I GET TO YAP TYYYY
Please throw asks at me I love getting them
(Answering this while the last two requests I have to do stew in my brain 🥲 Also putting a cut here cuz this got really long 😭)
Felicity is one of three protagonists from a very old story me and my cousin made. (My cousin is a frequent creative partner of mine but I've taken over many of our projects because she isn't as mentally ill and obsessed with them as I am and I'm not waiting up lol.) It's gotten a million rewrites, broke off into a million AUs, and is now basically a puddle of characters to put in Situations™.
Felicity, in the original story/world, is a fire mage- with the attitude to match. She's sassy, hotheated, and argumentative, but also fiercely loyal to her friends and family, even when they do stupid things.
Speaking of her family, Felicity's is far from perfect. Her parents died when she was fairly young (too young to remember them much) and her and her older brother, Felix, moved in with their aunt and uncle, who have several even younger children of their own. While their aunt and uncle mean well and try their best, their attention is focussed more on their own children (who are also younger and need more attention) than their orphaned niece and nephew. Felix takes their death hard, and doesn't do well with a lack of attention. He grows up, acts out- even drops out of high school and falls into drugs. Felicity does a little better- or at least, appears to on the surface. She's forced to grow up too fast- staying out of trouble, dealing with all her issues herself, doing chores around the house without even being told. She grows up the "good kid"... the one that doesn't need parents... Her aunt and uncle praise her for being so responsible, so polite, just a perfect child. They appreciate all she does to make their lives easier, and never foe a moment question how all this might be affecting Felicity.
Depending on the version of the story, Felicity meets Rhey and Hart either in high school, as kids, or (in the original story) at an advanced, magic-focused college. The three of them are nearly inseparable. Felicity's firey attitude pairs well with Hart's calm demeanor and Rhey's chaotic cheerfulness. They're all social outcasts with tough home lives. They've all got their problems and issues and secrets- and they get along perfectly.
Felicity and Hart and especially close. They both grew up poor, with crumbling families, and they both have a family member with drug/alcohol problems. If Hart has a problem, Felicity's the first one he goes to. She's empathetic, but blunt. If Hart's being stupid, she's not afraid to say so, but she also seems to always know just what to say to make things better. She knows life in many ways better than any of them, because she's had to live it practically on her own. She's the one everyone leans on- the steady one, the rock.
She's also got hella commitment issues :D
She earned a reputation for jumping between guys (and girls; Felicity is pan), and never staying with any one too long. She's independent, yeah, but that's also made her somewhat of a loner. She's knows everyone, and she has plenty of friends (and enemies). She's loyal to a fault... but she just can't commit. Not to a partner. She won't be tied down. She won't get comfortable.
Summary:
Felicity (she/her) is a fire mage with dead parents and an irresponsible drug addict for an older brother (who she frequently has to bail out of bad situations), and was adopted by her unintentionally neglectful aunt and uncle, who had several young kids of their own, leading Felicity to be very responsible and self-reliant but also grow up too fast and have commitment issues. She's sassy, hotheaded, and argumentative- not afraid of being loud, and not afraid of stating her opinion- but is also a great friend and insanely loyal to the people she cares about- even when they do dumb things. She has a bad track record when it comes to romantic relationships, but will always stick by her friends, who often go to her when they have problems. She's one of three protagonists in an absolute mess of a story that barely exists anymore, and she knows everyone and takes shit from no one.
Quick Facts:
• In the original story, Felicity is not only an ordinary fire mage. Instead of being able to control fire, she can summon it (something fire mages can't do).
• She dyes her hair orange/ginger.
• She's pansexual.
• She's very short (about 5'1").
• At some point she does cut off contact with her brother entirely.
• She has dark blue eyes.
• Out of the trio (her, Hart, and Rhey), Felicity has the most friends.
• Very high alcohol tolerance.
• Wears tank tops a lot, also has a jean jacket that she often wears.
• She moves pretty far away after school, but keeps in contact with her friends.
• She helps plan and organize both of her friends' weddings.
• Both of her friends' partners jokingly like Felicity more.
• She likes spicy food and has the highest heat tolerance of the three.
• LOVES hot cocoa. Any kind. Any time of the year. Hart keeps some in his house just for her.
• She's gone through the most design and personality changes of any character in the story she's from (besides maybe Hart, but he's my cousin's character and I don't really remember). She used to be a shy, timid, skinny little thing with long hair. The only things that stayed consistent were the color palette and the fact that she's short.
• This took more than 35 minutes to type out and I did not proofread 🥲
