I know the Airbenders are monks because it ties them closer to their bending.

But you are telling ME, that there isn't ONE Airbender that dipped??? Not ONE!?! Not a SINGLE Airbender decided to leave and pursue different things!?! Really?!? Every Airbender stayed in the Air Temples and lived as monks??? All of them??

Shivering Tree is a senior Air Tribe Mystic regarded for his wisdom and level-head in any situation. He is held in high esteem by the Air Tribe and is viewed as the next possible leader of the tribe. Shivering Tree’s fighting skills as well as agile wings make him a formidable enemy, but his peacemaking and courage to do what is right is even more famous among the tribes. His mate, Honey Wings, died a few moons after kitting and Shivering Tree immediately dedicated his life to raising Finchpaw and Sparrowpaw. Now that his children are apprentices, Shivering Tree watches over them carefully while training his own apprentice, Greenpaw.

Okay first, let’s discuss the category system. It runs from 1-5 with 1 being the little to no threat/dangerous and 5 being lethal. This is measured in capability and not by the chance of threat. For example: a really docile person/creature/whatnot may still be a category 5 because they are capable of being dangerous, despite the fact they couldn’t bring themselves to hurt a fly. It’s a problematic system, to say the least because it gives unclear information. It’s also split into two different classes, one for Magic-Users and one for Non-Magic-Users. An average person with no supernatural capabilities is almost always ranked in category 1 or 2. However, worthy assassins and similar can rank up to a 5. Magic users are often ranked between 2-3 dependant on their abilities, and can much more easily get ranked towards a 5 than a Non-Magic-User. While the class you are placed in is pretty obvious from birth as it will almost always easily related to who you were born to, The category that you are placed in is dependant on individuals and not dependant on the race you are from. NOW, there is a bit of a complication in the system, magic-users have both a Magic-User and Non-Magic-User ranking, as they are often capable of physical fighting as well as Magic based fighting. Non-Magic-Users will only ever have a Non-Magic-User ranking.

OKAY BACK TO VOXIS! Voxis, is from an air tribe. She’s a warrior, a fighter, and a damn good one. Category 4 Magic user, Ability to utilise and manipulate air. Category 4 Non-Magic user (will reK you). Air users generally control breeze and similar. Voxis, how ever can literally drain the life force from you. Deprive your body of oxygen and force it out of your lungs. It’s gruesome. Watch out ;). Can create winds of immense force and any wind related disasters. This is in great contrast from the general stereotype that Air Magic-Users are completely peaceful and driven by harmony. Defendant of the one of the once rulers of her tribe, however this ancestor was over thrown and the shame still follows her family to present. She fights everyday to prove that her bloodline is strong despite this mishap on her ancestors part.
