Big week this week down at the Old School House and in particular for one of Birmingham's leading digital agencies, One Black Bear. Why so big? I hear you question with a certain amount of scepticism. Well, today saw the go-live of the new MG3 configurator. Now this is something we're rather proud of. Not just because it looks stunning and works smoothly (as you'd expect) but because of the number of possibilities in the way you can configure your new MG3. Now I'm no mathematics guru but a quick tot up of the options and variables and there's almost 500,000,000 outcomes that could be achieved. Thanks to the team who have toiled days, nights and weekends to deliver this epic tool. Acknowledgement should also go to our friends over at Air-CGI who took care of all the rendering and photography. They've even made a video of the photo-shoot which is well worth a watch.
Continuing with the theme of big figures, our e-commerce system for Bloor Homes is fast approaching £1,000,000 worth of transactions so far this year. This means that alongside the National Express Bus ticketing system we built last year, OBB technology is responsible for delivering many millions of pounds worth of your hard earned into the economy. Big technical solutions for big brands that make a real difference to the success of their business.
Smaller but equally important go-live projects include a new section on the Subaru website explaining exactly why these amazing cars are so different from their competitors and why you should consider one. If, after reading this, you're convinced to get out on the road and go and look at one, we've also launched the new mobile dealer locator.
The #100nurses recruitment campaign for the NHS by Shadow Giants continues apace and the amazing videos continue to roll out. Over 80 applications so far and we're only just over a week into the eight week campaign. On top of this, good news as Chartered Jobs have signed up for some Social Media loveliness. More on that to come over the next few weeks.
Let's go offline now and we can proudly announce that The Unagency has started working with Health Education England. We're looking forward to helping them shape their positioning and getting our teeth stuck into lots of design work. The ideas have also been flowing in the form of new ads for The Real Pork Crackling Co. as we came up with several concepts to go in the British Comedy Awards programme. There was also a superb pitch presentation to a QE charity. Some brilliant design work that will make a really positive difference to the lives of children in their hour of need. As we work this through, we'll proudly share it all on here and hope that you're never unfortunate enough to see it first hand.
So, let's end a big week with the usual big round up of what we've seen and loved out there. A film about a legend. Web designers first websites. Have fun with this in Chrome. Love this phone idea. Inspiring design quotes. Tim Minchin being as inspirational as you'd expect.
