I still can’t figure out how the heck the plug on the air conditioner cord filled with water!
- if it was condensation, the plug was dry on the outside
- while it was cooler the night before (down in the 60Fs), the house itself was still warm enough that I was sleeping in just a thin sheet five feet from the air conditioner
- the other plug in to the same socket is fine and nothing in the house, not even the window around the air conditioner, had visible condensation
- it is not beneath the air conditioner, so it was not leaked on if that had dripped
- there is no leak in the air conditioner or anything else
- It’s in a bed room where I am the only one to enter, and not so much as a glass of water has been in that room
But there the plug is, the next day still draining.
Drip, drip, drip.
I can’t even get into it to try to figure out the problem because the screws have weird heads I don’t have a tool that fits.
We would try to replace the cord, but the company wants to charge $40 (not counting shipping) and I haven’t found one cheaper.
To be honest, I hate to buy a new cord and find this problem happens again without me knowing how to prevent it.
Gah! This house is going to get hot in a couple days when it is back to being 93F!
