they're called airboarders because they air the board and they idk

bonus thingy, they can breathe through those horns i gave them

the airboarders are flying squirrels!

they were originally chipmunks in my mind, but after some scrounging around in the sciuridae family i figured that flying squirrels fit them more, with the whole airboarding thing.

i made them specifically new world flying squirrels for a particular reason:

these flying squirrels have fluorescent pinkish markings on their backs and underbellies, which i thought fit perfectly with the airboarders’ arrow designs on their uniforms. they’re not usually visible since they only fluoresce under uv light, but still. rule of cool.
