Shade - 22/11/2021

The twenty third friend. A little ball of soft darkness. Everywhere she goes, she leaves a small trail of shadow behind her. It fades quickly but it follows her like a tail. She is inspired by the airbrush tool because it can turn my art from decent to pretty good. Despite being made of darkness, she loves the light. One of her favourite things to do is dart about in the evening sun. She feels soft and warm to touch and lives trying to rub her head against people's hands like a cat.

im drawing a character with very dark skin. when i try to shade him with the airbrush tool the shading is not blended, sort of like if i used the pen tool at 10% opacity. i tried using the blur tool or watercolor but i still get the same effect. I tried doing the same thing on a white background and it turned out perfectly blended. is there anyway i can fix this?

Try shading with a different color maybe? Like try purple or blue with dark skin, maybe it will show better.
