These healthier air-fried pickles are a guilt-free and delicious snack option. They are crispy, flavorful, and perfect for satisfying your craving for deep-fried pickles without all the excess oil and calories.
Ingredients: 1 cup dill pickle slices. 1/2 cup all-purpose flour. 2 large eggs. 1 cup panko breadcrumbs. 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. 1/2 teaspoon paprika. 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for a spicy kick. Cooking spray or oil for misting.
Instructions: Preheat your air fryer to 400F 200C. In three separate bowls, place the flour in one, whisk the eggs in another, and combine the panko breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper if using in the third bowl. Take each pickle slice and dip it first in the flour, then in the beaten eggs, and finally coat it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing down gently to adhere the coating well. Place the coated pickle slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not touching. You may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer. Mist the pickle slices with cooking spray or lightly brush them with oil to help them crisp up. Air fry at 400F 200C for 6-8 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy, flipping them halfway through for even cooking. Remove the air-fried pickles from the basket and let them cool slightly before serving. Serve your healthier air-fried pickles with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch dressing or sriracha mayo. Enjoy!
