American Airlines: #Rude

Don’t fly American Airlines. Why? Here’s a super long story made as short as possible. This was a trip with me (14 at the time) and my friend (16). I’ll tell the whole story if someone’s interested, but here are the bullet points: (This is from ONE TRIP, just fyi)

*Check-in counter lady is super snippy and upset with us for every little detail. 

*Second flight in the trip was cancelled -we flew from TYS to CLT, then were trying to go from CLT to BCN-

*When trying to reschedule the flight, (super panicked, btw) American team members told us that the soonest we would be getting out of CLT was 3 days from then. 

*Because of our ages, they said they couldn’t get a hotel room for us, and they couldn’t put us in their UM room because it was “too full”.   

*(We found sleeping arrangements for 1 night, then went back to the team members) They said they found another flight we could try, so we waited 8 hours then tried to board, but whoop, the flight was cancelled again.          

*They tried once more, but they put us on a United Arlines flight. (Important later) anyway, this flight gets cancelled too, so we ask the United Airlines team member who we should go see, the American team (inside of security) or the United team (outside of security). She says go see the American peeps.         

*THE AMERICAN TEAM TELLS US THAT, I QUOTE, “SORRY, WE CAN’T HELP YOU, YOU TWO ARE UNITED’S CUSTOMERS. GO SEE THEM.” So, we exit the airport.   

*The lady at United legit just waved us away and said that she couldn’t help us.

*When we got to BCN, our bags came 5 days behind us, so we had to buy a whole lot of new clothes...

In conclusion, eventually we did get out of the airport and to BCN but no thanks to American Airlines who treated two teenagers like trash...
