hello again! I was just wondering about what the * represents after trans*?
hi!! the * indicates an umbrella term, in that there are people that are part of the group that aren't specifically named
in the usage i've seen, trans without an asterisk denotes a person whose identity is fairly binary - trans man, trans woman - and trans* indicates someone who may be binary but may be non-binary - like agender, bigender and other folks. make sense? i swear i usually can explain this better. :)
