Volunteering to work the entire week after getting back from New Orleans had one major perk: the weekend off. And truly, there was nothing better to do on a Saturday night than hanging out at The Fun Spot. Pushing open the door, Stelly let out a laugh, looking over at their partner in crime for the evening. "It makes me feel like a kid all over again, coming here. Not that I grew up here, but just being around all the flashing lights and dinging sounds," not to mention the smell of nacho cheese and, well... beer. "What do you think, where do you want to start? Bowling? Roller-skating? Hit up the arcade?"

Contrary to what it seemed like everyone else had been implying, Jasmine was doing a perfectly fine job of mingling with people throughout the night. It was a bit irksome, but she'd also kind of been in a type of mood for a bit, so they were probably just looking out for her. One person she hadn't bumped into yet was Aisha. The two of them had bumped into each other a few times since their initial meeting, as you typically end up doing when your circles are pretty tight in a small community. There had been some flirting between them, mostly from Jaz's end, though if she had to put a label on it it would be something like Flirtationship-lite.

She found the other woman at the rooftop bar and sidled up to her. "Now, what is someone like you doing by themselves so close to midnight?"

The idea had been spur of the moment -- something that would encourage people to make donations but also be fun for everyone to participate in, but it worked. If you gave people fun, festive props and a backdrop, they'd have a good time, and Rafael was absolutely fascinated by it, finding himself laughing as he watched a teenaged couple cling to each other, donning elf hats and oversized glasses, leaning in to speak to the person next to him when he recognized Aisha. "I'm trying to figure out who seems to enjoy this the most. Young people like that," he pointed to the couple leaving the photo area, and then to the next group in line, four senior women, clearly close friends, that crowded in together, "or the older folks."

WHEN: End of Summer Bash

"Oh shit," Ryder exclaimed suddenly, pulling the roasting fork back away from the fire as his marshmallow became engulfed in flames. Someone had already yelled at him once that night for flailing his stick around and nearly hitting them with a flaming ball of sugar, and so he had learned his lesson, leaning forward to blow out the marshmallow and letting out a groan. "Why am I so bad at this?" he looked over at the person next to him, focusing their attention on toasting their own marshmallow, and let out a breath, "teach me."
