Jaz: This is how I'm supposed to do it, right? Jaz: *attachment of a video that she's edited together similar to a short/reel but hasn't been posted anywhere*

[The Video]

VO: Come with me while I put together a Boo Basket for my datemate cause we be extra like that sometimes.

The visual is Jasmine filming herself in a mirror, throwing up a peace sign with a duckface.

As some song plays over it, it then cuts to a POV from the seat of a shopping cart, with Jasmine holding up various items to it. She's kind of obnoxious about it, but it's also obvious that she's conscious of her surroundings. There may be some mouthed expletives or faces pulled over some of these things.

Finally, in Jasmine's apartment from a POV facing her living room, Jaz sets a tall laundry basket as the focal point before moving back and forth across the camera's view adding in random things that would constitute a movie night, before climbing into the basket herself with a bag of chips. At this point, time slows (is at normal speed) and the only thing audible is her crunching a few chips before she makes eye contact with the camera and gives it a wink.

Who: Jasmine and @aishathevar When: Early September 2025 Where: Aisha's place

The plan was similar to what she'd done before: 'bring a thing to someone, leave it outside, and run.' Except this time she wasn't planning on running. Of course there was still the (highly likely) possibility that one of Aisha's housemates would open the door instead, but if Jasmine decided to overthink that for a min' she probably would bolt.

She rang the bell. All she could do now was wait.

As Jasmine and Aisha are parting after spending Valentine's together, Jaz hands over a small giftbag. "I uh, didn't get a chance to give this to you earlier. You don't have to open in front of me - actually I think I'd prefer if you don't," she says a bit shyly. "But let me know what you think about it."

Inside is a CD in a pink jeweled case with a sticky note on its cover that says:

As Jasmine strolled the stalls of carnival games with no particular desire to play a specific one, she saw a certain someone by themselves in an apparent struggle with the equipment they were using, and felt the need to make her way over. "Need a cheerleader?" she asked over Aisha's shoulder as she was about to take her next shot.

Contrary to what it seemed like everyone else had been implying, Jasmine was doing a perfectly fine job of mingling with people throughout the night. It was a bit irksome, but she'd also kind of been in a type of mood for a bit, so they were probably just looking out for her. One person she hadn't bumped into yet was Aisha. The two of them had bumped into each other a few times since their initial meeting, as you typically end up doing when your circles are pretty tight in a small community. There had been some flirting between them, mostly from Jaz's end, though if she had to put a label on it it would be something like Flirtationship-lite.

She found the other woman at the rooftop bar and sidled up to her. "Now, what is someone like you doing by themselves so close to midnight?"
