Do the younger siblings call Jack for Jack Chats, aka advice/to vent when they can’t/won’t talk to Aaron or Mom? I can see Auntie Penny providing Pep Talks too. The kids all tease her about her tell, saying it’s her mouth, that she moves in order to express her feelings/emotions/opinions, according to Aaron!

jack is absolutely a resource for the younger kids!! i love jack chats - it’s so cute!! 

aunt emily usually takes the role of “i know i can’t talk to my parents about this can you please tell me how to take a bong rip without coughing up a lung???” but aunt penny is a cheerleader for the kids as well when they need a lil boost :)

In ajf does Spencer ever find a significant other? Or Emily? I’ve been on a Emily kick lately lol. How would the kids act around partners from outside of the BAU? I feel like if they’re really young it could be confusing because everyone seems to be with someone from the team or someone they grew up with already.

yes!! i am very excited to introduce you to Jo, spencer’s partner (she/they pronouns, but more they than she) and Kristin-call-me-Kris, emily’s girlfriend, a little later in the series!! Kris shows up in the mid-2020s and Jo a little later than that. 

i think some of the kids would warm faster than others. sophia is surprisingly wary of strangers in her family unit, considering how social she is.

The image of Elliot and auntie Emily casually switching languages mid-sentence when talking each other now lives rentfree in my head. I mean, as someone who speaks 2-4 languages and sometimes switches for half a sentence because it articulates what I wanna say better I just feel like they’d do that, if only to annoy everyone around them (and also because thinking of a word in the right language is *hard* sometimes)

YEP they absolutely have those moments of “hey how to you say *russian slang* in english?”

and the rest of them are like “....🤨couldn’t tell ya”

Wait I just made my self happy by thinking about mom being bilingual and teaching all the kids when they’re babies but then made myself sad and thought about jack feeling left out/frustrated cause he’s already older and out of the sweet spot for learning languages and therefore struggles a lot more and can only understand and not speak Maybe he can bond with Aaron over this (Aaron does his best but oh boy that man will speak moms language with a heavy heavy American accent)

(jack had a little exposure when he was younger because mom was around!! even then, he struggles. the babies try to teach him more and just talk AT him in their second language and he can totally understand more than he can respond, bless him.)

(aaron is H O P E L E S S when it comes to the accent but he does his best and picks up the vocab really quickly

Ooh, I had a thought (while literally everyone else watches some army movie and I sit with earbuds in bored out my mind-) During that scene where Em profiles Luke’s desk while he’s standing behind her, Mom is 100% just standing with Reid and JJ, snacking on a donut and just watching her stuck her foot in her mouth. Just thought you should know this.

oh absolutely. 100% and she’s just had isaac too so she’s like....snacking and chillin and absolutely letting emily step in it (i’m gonna make em go on a special assignment so she still isn’t there when luke first arrives lmao)

Luke & Penelope pre-family definitely plan a bunch of fun & ridiculous games to play during the big holiday party. Aaron KILLS playing the games with a sleeping toddler in one arm.

YES! luke, tara, and penelope are the masters of revelry in that family and they do everything they can to take the pressure off of the parents (after penelope has the girls, emily, tara, and kris [emily’s permanent end girlfriend] take over the fun and games!)

Emily Prentiss babysitting the hotchner kiddos and when she’s talking to aaron & mom afterward she’s like “you really can’t open a snack around them, or have a drink to yourself”

and mom’s like ‘you TRIED to eat something around them?? are you NUTS?’ and aaron just buys her like six bottles of wine and a handle of gin in lieu of payment

Why can I see Em, Derek and Reid getting up to some shit while Mom’s pregnant (with TWINS) and the second she gets up from her desk to make her way up to aaron’s office they know they pushed it a little too far. The attempt at a scowl Aaron has when he walked out of the office is adorable

oh the shame is unbearable. that instance will definitely make an appearance one of these days.
