"In this place, Yoo Joonghyuk learnt a bit about human feelings."
"Yoo Joonghyuk! Help me just once!"
"Fix me, Aileen Makerfield.”
Paimon: Wait, you didn't see him, Zhongli? Zhongli: Unfortunately, no. Hu Tao: What a shame. That gentleman seemed like a sophisticated sort of guy. I actually think you two would have hit it off! Zhongli: Is that so?
“…What are you doing?” Sung Hyunjae pulled off my pajama top. He stared intently at the wound and placed his hand on it. He had already checked it before – why was he touching it again? I could sense his magic moving. With my level of magic power, I wouldn’t normally be able to detect someone else’s magic without activating the Teacher skill. Yet the sensation of magic power swirling over my scar felt as clear as if I was seeing it with my own eyes. Then, Sung Hyunjae's magic, which tingled slightly as it overflowed, was quickly absorbed by the magic stone in my body. "It's like mine. How?" "It's just your overinflated ego."
A hand touched my back, right where my heart was. I swallowed hard. [...] “I'm reserving the spot on your back, where your heart is. You cannot give it to anyone else.”
As we walked down the hallway, Sung Hyunjae spoke. “You’re the first person to ever stay the night.” “I’m quite honored.” “Because of that, I’ll need a bit of time to prepare a bedroom. I do maintain the rooms, but they haven’t been slept in for a while.” Just tossing me a blanket would’ve been fine. The sofa was comfortable too. Though the living room was so large that sleeping alone in it would feel a bit lonely… “I’m too tired to wait. [...] Can’t I just share your bedroom?” [...] Sung Hyunjae slowed his pace and looked down at me. “I've never had anyone in my bedroom.” Had he really never dated anyone at his age? He didn’t have the kind of face for that to be the case. Maybe he’d never had a connection deep enough to bring someone home. “If it’s not okay, just leave me here. I’ll find a corner to crash on my own.” “Of course, my item is an exception. Can’t I take it everywhere?”
