I think what people need to understand (more like AJW) is that you can LEGITIMATELY be fucking pregnant and if you looked like a man pre pregnancy YOU WILL CONTINUE TO LOOK LIKE A MAN DURING AND AFTER.
I HAVE SEEN BALD HEADED MEN WITH BEARDS AND NON EXISTENT TOP SURGERY SCARS LOOK LIKE BEARS WHO ARE ONE SECOND AWAY FROM THEIR LIVER FAILING.
I HAVE EVEN SEEN MEN WHO ARE PRE TOP SURGERY STILL BEING CLOCKED AS, "Damn that guy really needs to lose some fucking weight..." INSTEAD OF AS TRANS.
I understand that most trans men who are PRE MEDICAL TRANSITION or are really early in medical transition usually detransition post pregnancy because of life pressures and unnacepting environments. I have seen it happen to many people and see it happening to many more.
It just like. It gets to a point.
I think I've talked about the detransition kink that AJW definitely has back in like late April but like look at his TWs for every book and EVERY book has a detrans arc a forced closeting arc a fucking pre COMING OUT character on the cover for 2/4 of his YA works.
On a bigger note... AJW is a trans man but he was never a trans boy, and I think this is harming his work. In his Wikipedia it says he did not have his first "gender crisis" until 16 and he says he did not come out until he was in grad school. He does not have the experience of growing up and already being visibly othered by ELEVEN because it gets to a point where people KNOW you're not "just" a lesbian and that you're actually "worse" than that. Where people constantly ask if you're a boy or a girl then don't believe when you say either option. It gets to a point.
