I honestly can’t explain it, but

I think the OG baseline AK-47 is a plain ugly assault rifle.

Meanwhile I am indifferent towards the AKM, which somehow I don’t find aesthetically unappealing.

And yet, I fucking love the AK-74, it’s among my Top 3 favorite assault rifles, contesting the top spot with the M16A2 and HK G33.

I think it’s the magazine being less curvy, the more complex and cool-looking muzzle break, and how the stock just feels RIGHT.
