Summary: These peaceful pre-warp humanoids lived in a level of technological development roughly analogous to Earth's 19th century when humans first noted their presence in the 22nd century. In many cities, all citizens were required to carry identification papers. Their planet holds several continents separated by large oceans. Their planet's most remarkable feature is its large deposits of veridium. While humans have kept the existence of life beyond their world a secret from the Akaali for centuries, their veridium deposits have been sought by a number of rather unscrupulous beings.

Where the "two of my favorite series the just finished" books good?? I've wanted to read the peculiar children series for ages and I just ought the first Cinder book today! Ho w they live up to the hype :)

I absolute love them both so much!!!! The Lunar Chronicles is probably one of my fave series ever. That series just blew my mind and I love the characters. The peculiar children series is so different and I love it, I love the pictures and I love the characters. I dont find it creepy, I just loved it.
