I have always loved the way Alex uses mico expressions to tell a story. There are so many scenes I could have picked here where the full gambit of emotions roll across her face and show us what she is thinking. This scene, in particular, I find amazing owing to the fact they managed this in one take. One. One shot at getting this right and you can see it all in her eyes. Shock, disbelief, acceptance, love, lust, joy, longing all in the space of 60 seconds.

Thank you for inspiring me to be myself and be happy. I may only be a new fan but your role of River Song has inspired me to continue my studies of science, be bold and adventurous, and stay curious. The struggles you’ve been through, which are so similar to some of my own, and how you’ve come through with grace and strength have also inspired be to be strong and never give up, and be confident in who I am.
