and his name is peter capaldi

River + The Doctor + text posts pt. 14/?
Once again I am definitely not thinking about River in Silence In The Library and how she rips out Miss Evangelista's neural relay and proceeds to pocket it while acting as if everything were completely fine and she wasn't holding back tears after watching the last remnants of this woman— towards whom she had a duty of protection or guidance at the very least— fade away. She has no use for the neural relay. That thing is completely useless, she didn't need to take it once it was disconnected, but she did.
♦ AEREA TARGARYEN: Balerion’s shadow swept across the yards and halls of the Red Keep as he came down, his huge wings buffeting the air, to land in the inner ward by Maegor’s Holdfast. Scarcely had he touched the ground than Princess Aerea slid from his back. Even those who had known her best during her years at court scarce recognized the girl. She was near enough to naked as to make no matter, her clothing no more than rags and tatters clinging to her arms and legs. Her hair was tangled and matted, her limbs as thin as sticks. “Please!” she cried to the knights and squires and serving men who had seen her descend. Then, as they came rushing toward her, she said, “I never,” and collapsed.

i love the french, i love the way they pronounce Rs like they're disgusted with them
the english meanwhile seem to have developed some sort of phobia about them
When we were discussing the surgery I'd need for my sleep apnea, the surgeon told me I'd never be able to speak French properly because the French R is a uvular sound and I'd no longer have a uvula.
... that's okay? I'm not French? I don't speak French? I've always thought it was the weirdest thing for him to say!
Huh. Didn't know you could have French surgically removed.
sorry i just cannot get this out of my head. Like, "oh you speak french? i hear there's an operation for that"
kinda love how people who are more casual fans or have only watched got characterise ned as a very nice and chill man as if he isn’t known for having the coldest eyes westeros has ever seen and everyone who comes into contact with him is like wow he’s so judgmental all the fucking time. and you go into his head and he’s also a deeply sad and traumatised man who desperately tries to cling to his taught values while also holding his family above all else
been thinking about this again and it’s crucial that he actually is pretty judgmental. it’s not that people just think that about him, he actually is judging them

I guess you better go and get your armor. Get your armor... We could pretend that we are friends tonight.
me, vibrating out of my skin : hey can I talk to you about this piece of media real quick? I pinky promise I'll be So Normal about it, like there's no reason to be concerned that this will turn into a three hour long monologue. Like I Prommy that I'm not gonna be a freak about it.
SLEEPING BEAUTY (1959), dir Clyde Geronimi, Eric Larson, Wolfgang Reitherman, Les Clark
Did I love him? I should've hated him, but who can say why we fall in love? You try so hard to stop it, but it's too late! I made him miserable, and myself as well. What will I do now with the love I didn't give him? With all those words I didn't tell him?

While I wildly dislike this movie, they did soooome things right. And this moment is one of them.
