He hadn’t particularly meant to make a habit of this -- showing up on Ashley’s doorstep unannounced but he had. It was even worse that he’d shown up a bit wounded again. He figures maybe he should stop taking the same damn shortcuts but he can’t help it. He’s lived in Brooklyn all his life their second nature to him now, just another street to get somewhere. But now he sits a bit stunned, shirtless and flushing a deep red right across his chest where a kiss had been placed. “Uh --” well that wasn’t the most smooth or clever thing he could have said. “Thank you -- for helping me out again.” That also wasn’t what he meant to say, but isn’t sure what he’s supposed to say.
