Here’s the thing about kids on tv: they may look all sweet and innocent, but there’s always a shitload of bad behavior hidden beneath that polished veneer. Well, Eleanor supposes that the “Charismatic Detective” (gag) isn’t a kid per se. Are teenagers kids? Whatever.
She has these thoughts as she’s leaving some shitty bar that she’s never going back to, which is why she may have forgotten to pay her tab when she walked out. Seriously, it’s their own fault for serving losers who drink at 11 in the morning. You know that crowd’s gonna be full of shady characters. Eleanor, at least, was drinking mimosas, which are basically breakfast, but the dude a few seats down was definitely pounding some whisky. Then again, considering the shitty television was blaring a replay of some interview with that annoying brat, she doesn’t blame Whisky Man.
Besides, it looks like the police are dealing with some actual criminals, which means Eleanor’s gonna have herself a little peek. Janet has no idea where they’re at, and the fact that there are police dealing with some sort of crime doesn’t given any clues, but she’s going to ignore those details for now.
She gets closer, trying to see if there’s blood or anything, because that would be cool. And there he is, the dweeb from the tv.
“Lemme guess, I’m not allowed to get any closer. Well, you know what? I’m not about to take orders from some kid, so you can just keep that mouth of yours shut while I,” she points for emphasis, “keep on walking right over to whatever kind of juicy drama is goin’ on.”
