I finally realized/learned how I can explain/describe the way I see Ice-jin pregnancy for ones that carry eggs (I see Ice-jins being capable of both live or egg birth depending on their environment and genetics).

.... they go by Akidna (I probably misspelled that Dx) rules. Well, mostly.

Female akidnas who are pregnant will actually carry their eggs inside of them for most of their "pregnancy". When they lay them, it takes only a couple of days before the egg hatches- and an akidna only carries one single egg. One. One at a time during a whole pregnancy before laying it to hatch almost 'immediately'. Or in other words, about ten days.

With Ice-jins who lay eggs, I see them carrying their encased brood (Whether it be one or more) for most of the time, too, before they lay them. This is to allow the eggs to develope and their shells to harden because they can be fairly large and take time to be made. And, the amount of time for their development exists to avoid potential breaking of an egg when it's being layed, although Ice-jins can have failed/stillborn eggs that break from either being layed too early or they didn't develope properly. And after being layed, however, instead of a few days- the Ice-jin's egg(s) only take a couple of hours to hatch!
