Akine puts a fresh new perspective on the phrase “put your money where your mouth is” on her spectacular new single, Money In Your Mouth. The 17 year old singer songwriter from Kiev, Ukraine might be one of the most bewitching rising songstresses in the scene right now. Last month, she gave us a beautifully haunting pop song named No Gold which went on to earn endless love and accolades across the board. And now she’s back with the smoked embers of her remarkable voice on her rhythmic catching new tune, a dark smoldering alt/electro-pop ballad that channels a hint of Laurel mixed with Let’s Eat Grandma, gone inky, sultry, and opulent pop. Money In Your Mouth comes with the release of Akine’s debut EP, Don’t Foster Fear. The siren is said to pull inspiration for her music from the dark times she’s experienced in her young life.
