Aknish, the revered deity of the Desert Nomads, is believed to be a physical manifestation of the primal, elemental forces that govern the harsh desert landscape of the Western Desert in the realm of Infernus. The central icon of Aknish's worship is a towering, three-dimensional wooden pillar idol located within the Sun Temple of the Desert Nomad settlement of Sun-Tan City. This imposing totem is adorned with three bright green circular engravings and strange runic symbols, which are believed to have originally been associated with the Infernian god Ignis, suggesting a shared history between the beliefs of the Desert Nomads and the wider Infernian culture. The idol's appearance, with its teeth-like protrusions, glowing red "eyes," and pointy crown-like shape, further alludes to this ancient connection. At the top of the idol rests a light green flame with a floating yellow orb, and in its "resting" state, the idol's six "arms" are crossed, but when activated, they branch out, each holding a flickering light green flame. The Aknish idol is believed to function as a highly accurate sundial and is regarded as profoundly sacred within the Desert Nomad culture, with its activation and the unleashing of its flames seen as intimately linked to the elemental forces of the desert and the will of the Aknish deity.
