You ask and you shall receive! I'm taking this opportunity to also ramble a bit about them under the art, since I was asked a few times and never properly answered.

Heli was born in 2E 200 c.a., around the time Vanus left Artaeum. Carrying the talent for magic of his father, they were one of the earliest "test subjects" for the curriculum of the newly founded Mages Guild. Rising quickly through the ranks, they eventually became themselves a teacher to students even triple their age.

Vanus, ever the attentive father, but alas an extremely busy one, treated everything his child said with gravity and respect, regarding them as an equal even from a young age. This kind of somewhat blind trust could have been a heavy burden for an ordinary child—but not for Heliand. Day after day, they slowly became each other’s anchor.

Since Heliand has officially become my main Vestige (unlike Sorio, who is not a vestige), I'll let you imagine the implication of it; the sorrow Vanus felt upon discovering Heliand’s death and the shock and denial that followed when they reappeared alive, seemingly unchanged. This caused a profound rupture in their relationship, or more accurately, in Vanus' relationship with the Vestige. How could this soulless creation of Daedric magic truly be Heliand? They look like them, speak like them… but what truly remains of their original self?

From that point on, their relationship becomes a slow journey towards Vanus having to let go grief and accept Heliand (the Vestige) back into his life. And, in the meantime, they also kind of invade Coldharbour together with the Mages and Fighters guild. It's whatever.
