“Makronky. maaa--kronky...much easier to just say macaron...” living in prague was a constant learning experience. budgeting in a fairly new country, speaking in a new language, dining from a new cuisine, it kept the young woman constantly on her toes. purchasing a dessert to enjoy on the charles bridge made her free afternoons even more therapeutic. the cool stone welcomed her as her legs hugged either side of the ledge, a seat that provided one of the most picturesque views the city had to offer. “who would ever leave such a place, right?” her breath was to no one in particular, but since the man nearest to her was alone there was no reason for cassidy not to attempt a conversation. “beautiful sights, impressive weather, hopefully great macarons…” the crinkling of the bag covered the small giggle that slipped through her lips. If she were selfish cassidy would have offered him the lavender flavor, or something equally misleading so he would deny her offer to share, but she wasn’t raised that way. Instead, pink nails reached into the bag to present the ever popular vanilla. “i thou—“ realization swept over her face and flushed her full cheeks. “sorry! sorry. I thought…you were a stranger.” cassidy instantly regretted swinging one of her legs over the ledge to meet the other in an attempt to make room for him. “i should have expected for you to be here. i guess. perfect place for people to think...or have d a t e s...which I’m sure you have done both of…here. right?” her teeth sunk into her rosy brims, desperate to stop the string of nonsense she was spewing. a soft hum vibrated against her throat, one hand outstretched to offer him his pick of her presently prized possessions.
