If you're referring to the contract to enter the Velvet Room, its the one at the beginning of the game, where you have to choose to say that all of this is fiction. Its a play on how its the first time you have to do it at the beginning of the game, and a hint to something being off about Igor/the Velvet Room as a whole.

I think the Asker was referring to the condition of entering the Velvet Room in universe, where it’s always been so that only those who have entered into some form of willing contract (or promise) that makes them accountable for their choices have been accepted as guests. 

That said, of course the whole deal with the Velvet Room being hijacked might have changed things. But if the condition still applied, then his Shadow’s/Arséne’s words upon awakening surely count as such a “contract”.
