Trigger warning: mention of r*pe, sexual abuse.
Albania:
A girl accepts to have sex with her boyfriend after he begs her and asks for it as his birthday present. His friend films them. Her boyfriend and seven other people rape her continuously and blackmail her, threatening her that they'll kill her family and publish the video. They plan to prostitue her so they can buy devices for gaming. The video was sent to many people in their school. The school keeps quiet about everything. The girl and her family finally sues them. The boys parents keep crying asking for their sons to be free and call it "adolescence stuff".
Kosovo:
A 16 years old girl gets raped by her teacher. She turns to the police for help but the policeman also sexually abuses her and gets her pregnant. He later on sends her to get an abortion. She does. She sues the teacher and the policeman. People protest.
Rape is never the fault of the victim. The victim should never be afraid, insecure or ashamed to sue the rapist. Rapists should go to jail and suffer the consequences of their actions since its their own fault. Can Albanians stop being quiet about rape and stop victim-blaming?
