Cambria Italics with a colored stroke (1 pixel) - Size of the font depends on the size of the gif, but typically 10px. What is the recommended width of images on Tumblr? The recommended width of an image, in order to stop an image from being resized by tumblr, is 500px width. This means if you are trying to post a couple of gifs side by side, make sure that they are slightly smaller in size than 250px (I typically use two 248px images side by side), so you have room for some white space in between them.
