I have a lingua franca!
Akusu came into existence because people ran away to (what is now) Rakar and encountered Scayikraa nomads. The language started off as a pidgin and primarily uses the Areik group writing system and loans works, sounds and letters from primarily Adysysy. It also has some Ascayi, as well as words from languages that are now extinct. It combines two very different systems and is consequently very hard to learn - like imagine if we made a pidgin of Mandarin and German.
How incredibly cursed the language is aside, the "franca" part would be the Adysysy/Ascayikra group part.
Also, important gramma: a at the start of a word = denoting language a at the end of a word = an agitative relating to identity, in this case a demonym
