☯ أحب أشياء عديدة في لغتي، فمثلا، اللغة العربية لغة دقيقة جدا (وجود التأنيث و التذكير،  و المثنى، و غيرها…)، و هي أيضا لغة تمتد على جغرافية جد واسعة و تجمع حوالي 422 مليون متحدث (حسب ويكيبيديا) ، إضافة إلى أنها لم تتغير إلى درجة التحريف (كما حصل مع اللغات ذات الأصل اللاتيني مثلا). آه ، هذا موضوع هام، لو استطعت لكتبت موضوعا مقاليا حوله 😂.

in Arabic, cold is barid, book is kitaab and word is kalima :) So yeah, book and word are very similar to Maltese!

oh then they are all similar because “bard” means cold in Maltese too :D

Omg I saw your Easter vocab post and KWAREZIMAL!!! I love it!!! I bought one in Rabat a couple of days ago and loved it so much I bought another to take home! I had no idea they were an Easter thing. Oh man that was the best thing I've ever eaten like seriously

I'm in Malta now! I arrived today and I haven't had the chance to see anything yet but the weather was so nice today! And my taxi from the airport to the hostel drove past some Harbour and it was so pretty!

Hi :) So, I started learning Maltese yesterday :D And I was wondering how you'd say 'because' in Maltese; my phrasebook says 'ghaliex' and 'ghax'; is there a difference between the two or can I use them interchangeably? Sadly my phrasebook isn't telling me how to use either of them... And how would I say 'I'm happy because I'm learning Maltese.' 'Jiena ferhana ghaliex/ghax??? nitghallem il-Malti'? Grazzi! :)

Hey! That’s wonderful, I’m happy you are!!Okay so għax is just the shorter version of għaliex. They’re the same but the first one is used more because it’s more quicker :DThat sentences are both correct!
