Established in the year 859, the University of al-Qarawiyyin in Morocco is, by some definitions, the oldest continuously used higher learning institution in the world! (Although... a university of Mali would technically be considered the oldest, but let’s not get into that).
It’s also quite pretty 💚🌱
For other men you are unforgettable. You are justice. A law without teeth. You are the high road to the city. Your hips are the most wonderful thing about you. They move for the public. And you would want them to pay you their tears for it. Gosh, you are a funny misbehaviour. Your laugh reflects your loneliness. They never see you cry, and they pronounce your name wrong. Therefore you eat your eyes, and close your country upon them. You are the silky night, velvet between the sheets, alone in bed. They dream about you like this.

Heritage Buildings on Avenue Mohammed V
It wasn't the first time I walked the Avenue Mohammed V, which is dubbed Morocco's most beautiful street. I was here the first time I arrived in Rabat as I was making my way to the train station. Back then, I already noticed how nice this street was but I was in a hurry to catch a train that I didn't take any photos. This time, I'm better prepared. It was already late afternoon as I was strolling along the Avenue Mohammed V. It was like a park in the middle of the road. It has trees and seats, although I didn't feel that the air was polluted, the number of cars which pass through this avenue pretty much assures it is.
