What do you do at ALA?
“I coordinate marketing for ALA Editions | ALA Neal-Schuman, including writing descriptive copy for books; managing our titles online and at ALA conferences; and dealing directly with our authors and contributors.”
Why do you think libraries are important?
“Libraries are vehicles for all the knowledge we don't know we need to know - and institutions that bridge the past to the future.”
What do you like to do outside of ALA?
“Shake up cocktails, watch movies, listen to records, and read as much as possible.”
What are you reading?
“At the Existentialist Café: Freedom, Being, and Apricot Cocktails with Jean-Paul Sartre, Simone de Beauvoir, Albert Camus, Martin Heidegger, Maurice Merleau-Ponty and Others, by Sarah Bakewell. A fascinating look at philosophy and how deep thinking can, and should be a way of life.”
What are you watching?
“"Twin Peaks." I gotta get up to speed for next year! What are you listening to?Jason Adasiewicz. A cool Chicago-vibes player, whose tunes are electrifying and dreamy at the same time.”
