Reading the first chapter, I got chills, and instantly wanted more. It didn’t disappoint! I maybe wish that the author went more in-depth with the development of what makes this AU different, and the reason for the situation they find themselves in, but it’s still enjoyable to read. I also distinctly remember reading and loving a chapter where Roy and Riza are reunited, but for some reason that isn’t in the posting of the fic on AO3, so maybe it was a fever dream. In any case, this is an interesting and enjoyable, even if short, fic!
