Voice of the Youth Network (VOTY) recently joined MTV End Exploitation and Trafficking (MTV EXIT) in its fight against human trafficking and exploitation. VOTY showed its support through participating in one of its events, the screening of the film entitled “Alagwa” at the Cinema 1 of SM Mall of Asia, March 2.

Alagwa is a filipino drama film directed by Ian Loreños. The story is about a single father who lost his son at a mall. A surveillance  video was shown to him, revealing that his son was taken by an older man. Since the police department fails to locate the child. The father's anguish in search for his son begins.

This film shows the underground business of human trafficking in the Philippines.
