Alain Cavalier - Manu Manzano // Les Cahiers du Cinéma.
I met director Alain Cavalier on a particular day, back when Brussels was under lockdown and bombings. Meeting him on a sunny winter afternoon under a delicate light, his words and presence were a healing in themselves. I later met Françoise, his compagnion and editor as well (I sometimes forget I initially am one too!) and went back for a movie festival he was honored guest. So richfull.Today, this photo taken on a simple afternoon having a simple meal with editor Emmanuel Manzano found resonance in Les Cahiers Du Cinéma. I'll write the story somewhere, sometime. For now always remember and take time for simple moments. That's where life is to be found.
