Inktober day 29
Character Bingo: Alak Hul
There is a future where I write a 8k words fic about him and Verok getting together, I just need to lock in
no mud in the temple!!
In the lightblade strike Fynch mentions that Kelgorath used to be an old rival of Oryx. But how could Kelgorath ever rival Oryx? Oryx was as powerful if not more than a disciple. Kelgorath is just a big knight with an axe to my knowledge.
In fact why does he even have an axe? I thought the hive were all about swords.
It's not Kelgorath in Lightblade! It's Alak-hul. They're both a special type of knight called Darkblade. They have their signature axes as weapons.
Alak-hul led a brief rebellion against Oryx. Oryx was also fostering him as a son. In this tab it also says that Alak-hul apparently felt like Oryx didn't give him enough things to do and was stiffling his growth which was the cause of the rebellion. Another cause for the rebellion was that Alak-hul wanted to prove himself to his mate:
Ghost: Eris, why did the Darkblade rise against Oryx?
Eris: The Wizard Verok was his mate. He slew a legion of Thralls in her name. Marched on the King's throne, at the head of an army built on hate and pain.
Ghost: How...romantic.
“Alak-Hul. He is hunting you.”
Favourite Destiny boss: Darkblade, the Sunless Cell

There is love in the dark tunnels.
Alak-Hul/Verok, 700 words, M-rated.
Get Alak-Hul OUT MY HEAD! I KEEP HEARING HIS SONG WHEREVER I GO AAAAARRGGHH
I feel like i would like the Darkblade more if I could see him better. You know, get a better look at what he's packin' *wink wink*
I like the dark of the Sunless Cell because he can sneak up behind you and grab you and suddenly there’s hot breath in on your neck and claws digging into your ribs. He’s probably pretty lonely and frustrated down there so he would want to keep you alive as a prize. And then suddenly it pitch dark and eerily quiet and there’s just deep rasping breath in your ear and these huge hands on you in the dark...
