I wanna see Eris and Drifter do the jojo bowling trend but with Eris doing a dramatic pose and Drifter throwing her orb into an enemy's face at mach 10
I NEED ERIS MORN AND JONATHAN SIMS(character) ON A PODCAST TOGETHER
Okay listen HEAR MY VISION
Listening to the Magnus archives while running destiny 2 missions doesn't exactly work because of cross dialogue and noises and whatnot BUT I did try it for a bit and Eris started monologuing right as the intro theme played and holy fuck did it fit
GOING OFF THAT EXACT VIBE HAS GIVEN ME THE PODCAST VISION
I don't even think I need to explain why these two should be in the same room
Just put them together in the same room in your mind I honestly need no other explanation

"Hmmm…" Eris said as her feet touched back down on the ground.
Drifter raised an eyebrow and looked at her.
"Something skitters below the surface…" Eris said. "Not in the Ascendant plane… the queen's Techeons would know immediately. It is in our realm but… masked… subtle and elusive… as though it is being obfuscated from our senses."
Drifter chewed his cheek. "I'm assuming you still don't wanna leave."
"Correct. This event is far too politically sensitive, and filled with far too many people I care for, to simply depart and hope for the best. If there is danger, we must either report it or snuff it out ourselves."
"Drifter's right about one thing," Chilliwack said. "No one's going to believe there's something going on based on him seeing someone he thinks he might know and you saying the Hive magic vibes are off."
Drifter heaved a frustrated sigh. "Ok, here's how this is gonna go. One of you comes with me and the other one stays with Eris. Hang out at the table then follow behind and be ready to fuck off straight to Ikora if there's a problem."
"I will come with you," Eris interrupted him.
"Much as I want ya, Moondust, I need someone on overwatch who can actually get help if needed and, full offense intended," He looked to Aunor and then Chilliwack before continuing. "I don't trust either of these two Praxic jackasses to pull my ass out if shit goes south. Big wigs'll listen to you," he pointed at Eris. "And if they don't, well then you can just come and get me yourself." He gave her a knowing grin. "You're all the backup I really need."
Eris tilted her head, thinking for a moment, and then nodded, frowning. "Very well."
Drifter turned to the two Warlocks. "All right, which one of you is stayin' and which one's goin' with me on recon?"
"We haven't agreed to any of your bullshit, Drifter." Aunor growled.
"That's fine I'll go myself."
"Go with him," Chilliwack said to Aunor.
"This is stupid," Aunor told her. "There's nothing wrong. He's just making shit up."
"Look, asshole," Drifter turned to Aunor, his voice suddenly a dangerous growl.
The surprised Warlock took a step back.
"You came here to pick a fight. Ya wanted to get the bad guys. An that ain't us - well, not tonight anyway," Drifter winked at Eris.
Eris smirked.
Aunor shook her head.
"But uh… if that is who I think it is, then maybe it is a good thing you and your shit-ass friends sat down at our table."
Aunor folded her arms and glared at him.
"Oh, come on space cop," Drifter said. "You wanted a bone to chew. I just found you a juicy one that needs chewin'. That guy's a professional. If he is who I think he is he'll absolutely be in your files. Look him up!"
Aunor sneared. "Not a chance. I'm not letting you out of my sight."
Chilliwack held out her hand, palm up. "Frey?"
"Yeah?" A ghost wearing a sleek yet nondescript shell appeared. It had a tastefully festive shader that matched Chilliwack's robes without standing out. It's voice was low and gravelly.
"Drive by stealth scan. High value target. Suspected ghost-killer. Do not engage."
Frey blinked his blue eye and his shader shifted to a dark navy and maroon. He dropped down from Chilliwack's hand to knee height.
"You sure you wanna do that?" Drifter asked Chilliwack.
"This is potentially far too dangerous to send your little Light alone," Eris added.
"If Drifter's full of shit, there's no danger at all. But if you're right, then dealing with scum like this is literally our job." Chilliwack explained and glanced over at Aunor and raised an eyebrow.
Aunor frowned and looked away for a moment, clearly frustrated.
"I know what I'm doing." Frey said below them. "Where's the target?"
"Not somethin' I'd do, but ok." Drifter said, his face serious. He gave a respectful nod toward Chilliwack. "Have your ghost stay out of sight and come with Aunor an' me. We'll go get a drink at the bar and point him out. Ghost gets the scan and goes straight to you at the table. Send what you find on the guy to Aunor's ghost. Regardless, we keep an eye on him and follow him if he leaves. If that happens, you two come after."
"And where's your ghost in all of this, Drifter?" Aunor asked.
"Where he belongs." Drifter snapped his fingers by his hip and cupped his hand. A small flash was all anyone saw before Drifter placed the small drone in Eris' gloved hand.
She nodded, covering it with her other hand.
Drifter leaned in and kissed her cheek between two streams of paracausal tears. "You're my lucky moonbeam," he whispered.
Eris nodded. "I have you."
He gave her a playful smile. "Can't even put into words how much I like bein' had by you."
Eris acknowledged his innuendo with a tilt of her head and a dispassionate "Hmmm…." then added, "Be safe."
"I'll do my best." He held out Artemis' leash and Eris took it as well.
"All right Jerkface," he said to Aunor and offered her his arm. "Let's go to the bar. We're just old friends catching up, after all, right?"
Aunor tilted her head up, closed her eyes, sighed and with a muttered, "I can't believe I'm doing this," she opened her eyes again, took his arm and they walked out ahead together.
Eris and Chilliwack followed much farther behind. Eris paused and encouraged Artemis to sniff various crates, the sweeper bot, the railing, and the planters along the way as they walked, gradually increasing the distance between their two groups.
