Inspiration for Alamos Town in The Rise of Darkrai
In September 2006, the staff who worked on the movie went to areas in Barcelona, Spain to make the basis of the setting.
The Space-Time towers are inspired by an unfinished, 130+ year old building called "La Sagrada Familia".
If Palkia existed in real life, it would've landed in front of one of the entrances of the La Sagrada Familia.
Notice the pillars.
The pillars are basically the same in the La Sagrada Familia. Palkia would've landed and roared right there.
The inside of the Sagrada Familia inspired the contest hall of the Space-time towers.
They both share the pillars and stained glass windows.
Alamos Town itself is inspired by a real-life town near the Sagrada Familia called the "Park Güell"
The names Godey and his grandson, Tonio, are taken from the name of the designer of the Sagrada Familia and even Park Güell, Antoni Gaudi.
ALAMOS TOWN IS REAL.
But I really wish Dialga, Palkia, and Darkrai were...
It would be a dream come true to see my favorite legendaries battle in real-life, at the Sagrada Familia.
I wouldn't hesitate to run up to them and give them all a hug.
