And it's bigger‚ badder and a whole lot stupider than last time! So supposedly this was shot back to back with the OG#Killer Crocodile‚ which makes sense both in terms of them being cheapo Italian knock offs and in sharing sets and cast members. What's odd#Is some of the decisions made; having presumably banked on Crenna being a star name for the first film he is naturally top billing once#Again but he doesn't actually arrive in the film until near the half way mark (aside from a brief reprise of the first film at the start)#Girolami‚ easily the best thing about Croc Uno‚ takes even longer to get here and then (SPOILER ALERT) is unceremoniously chomped up after#No more than ten minutes of screen time. I suppose it gives Crenna the personal vendetta to take on this second Croc... Idk. Clearly the#Filmmakers wanted to be Extra with this film. Where the original has a tense scene of a child being menaced by the Croc but eventually#Being rescued (natural beats for this genre)‚ this movie has an entire boatload of school kids messily devoured and it has no impact on#Anything whatsoever (our leads don't ever learn of this even happening). I will say that the crocodile actually seems to look more#Impressive here than in 1‚ which is odd if they were shot using the same model. But that's only in close up; a long shot battle between#Crenna and the beast is truly abysmal‚ with a very obvious (and seemingly very small) puppet croc and puppet Crenna apparently thrown into#The water repeatedly. Karr is good tho‚ and a midfilm twist in which she is seemingly killed genuinely took me by surprise
