Do you really believe we have the time to stop climate change?? Cuz i cant help feeling overwhelming fucked .
Models can be flawed and predictions can seem dire. It will take decades for developed countries to break their dependence on fossil fuels in the absence of new and better renewable tech. Cutting CO2 emissions solves both the problem of climate change AND ocean acidification. Many models say ocean acidification will kill us before rising temperatures on the planet. Again the problem with models is their scale. The earth is large and has so many variables concerning the fate of CO2.
If you want some hope at how resilient the Earth is then check out The World Without Us by Alan Wiseman. Here is a video of Alan talking about some points in his book. I don't think we as a species truly understand the regenerative power of this living planet. We do an incredible amount of daily maintenance in order to hold back mother nature from overtaking our cities roads and subways. If all humans were gone tomorrow from this planet the earth would erase most of our presence in a few hundred years.
We have a ton of work to do to fix shit, but have faith in life and the earth.
