Thanks for your THG meta. Sometimes my headcanon is different. Maybe you have a better understanding of the facts, maybe we simply have different opinions. I appreciate your apparent knowledge of military facts while being a peaceful civilian. I aspire to that myself, partially as writer research.

Thanks! And it’s always good to have different headcanons; what matters most is that you’re able to substantiate your ideas with evidence.

Military stuff has simply been a subject of major interest to me for quite some time (honestly did mull around the idea of enlisting; if I knew about ComCam before applying for school, the likelihood may have been much greater).

The military and sociopolitical side to THG series (plus a bad habit of overthinking stuff) is actually what spurred me to write fanfic in the first place.

That makes sense. At the same time, it strains credulity that no Hork-Bajir had ever killed another until the Yeerks came along. That is a Noble Savage cartoon of what people (and Hork-Bajir are people) are like.

Jake/Cassie reminds me of Gale/Katniss in the sense that both relationships disintegrate over differing opinions on how to fight a war.

I’m having a little trouble remembering what Jake and Cassie’s relationship was like towards the end of the series. I thought it was more that dealing with life after the war was what broke them up?

Spurs game and Game of Thrones episode on tonight, whatever are you going to do? :) I think I'm going to watch GOT and then the end of the game, maybe the start of the game also if I finish an unrelated project. I don't usually follow basketball much, thanks for getting me to pay attention.
