Mayfest weekend! I had come into work to help try to sell shirts abd hoodies, but virtually no one was actually interested. The first two pictures are of the (now replaced) Viking Bus and a group of Vikings + Valkyries. The Vikings/Valkyries is a local group of people who, if I remember right, are particularly well known in town to be incredibly helpful people.

I ended up running the shirt stand all day, so I didn't get good pictures like I'd hoped, but I did get to snap pictures of the parade. Pictured is the start of the portion for our local Sons of Norway hall, the Valhalla viking ship that sits next to it year-round, some of our local Tlingit/Haida folk, and the Viking Bus again. Two of the Viking folk got married just a short whike before, hence the flowers.

All in all, a good if not incredibly noisy Mayfest.

Iditarod Media Day means checking hundreds of journalists in from aroynd the world. Iditarod is still one of the most intriguing events anywhere, and visiting media are often following a musher from their country.
