summary: a request where: Blitzø introduces his Mama Alastriona to his "friend" Stolas.
Context: Connected to Red Like You (parts 1 & 2)
--
Blitzø walked with his tall owl friend, Stolas, to meet his Mama for lunch at the gardens of the Hotel - Charlie insisted, as Alastriona was still recovering but wanted to spend time with her son.
"Blitzy, are you alright?" Stolas asked, looking at his imp lover.
"Ye- yeah, Stolas! I'm fine!" Blitzø was not. He was nervous. Walking to the table his mother had sat down at, sorrounded by lovely flowers.
To her credit Alastriona had hidden her cane rather well in the table, and had gotten better at not bleeding through her bandages, but Blitzø still worried about his Mama. The smile she gave the pair, moving to stand up.
"Hello." Alastriona said, ignoring the stitch pull, moving to curtsy to the owl.
"Oh, my dear lady, that isn't necessary on your behalf!" Stolas said quickly, offering a bow of his own. "It is an honor to meet the mother of my dear Blitzy." He took the demoness' hand and kissed it. "I am Stolas Goetia. At your service."
Alastriona smiled at the owl. "Oh, you are a wonderful boy. My name's Alastriona, sugar."
Stolas smiled as he stood up fully, releasing her hand. "I heard many a tale of you, from darling Blitzy. He did not exaggerate your beauty."
Alastriona blushed as she covered her mouth while laughing. "Oh, that's just like you, isn't it Blitzø bebe. Always complimenting me for the smallest things."
"You know it, Mama." Blitzø grinned at his mother, he looked to Stolas. "She's the best Mama in all of Hell. Always a full pot of food, a song, a loving smile. Just the best."
"Blitzø, stop!" Alastriona covered her face, smiling as she blushed. "I'm ready to start crying, in front of company!"
Stolas smiled softly, looking at the feared radio demon before him filled with love for her son. "Fear not, madame. I am no stranger to tears."
Alastriona hummed at him. "Such a lovely young man." She gestured to the chairs. "Oh, where have my manners gone? Sit, sit!"
"Allow me." Stolas helped push Alastriona's chair in, winking at Blitzø who was about to do that.
Blitzø got it. Oh! Stolas wanted to make a good impression on his Mama! Well, that worked for him. His Mama deserved the Good Life treatment after all.
"Thanks for helping my Mama, Stolas. I really appreciate it." Sappy confessions aren't for him, but admitting thanks for anyone who treated his Mama right was definitely his thing.
"Oh, think not of it. A lady must always be treated with respect." Stolas said as he sat down as well.
"Well, I agree with my little Blitty-witty. You're kindness is appreciated." Alastriona said to him, moving to pour them all some tea. "I do hope my boy has returned the favor."
"Oh, he has madame. You've raised quite the," Stolas paused to add sugar to his tea, "gentleman." He finally settled on the word.
"Can we order some grub already?" Blitzø, for all of his like for attention, was hungry.
They did, Lucifer himself being the busboy (oh, the irony).
"So, Stolas - or would you prefer to be addressed by your title?" Alastriona asked him, raising her tea cup to her lips.
"Just Stolas is fine, Madame." The owl said with a smile, grabbing a tea biscuit.
"Of course. And none of that Madame business." Alastriona waved her hand to him. "Madame's are proper ladies. I, my dear, am far from it." They had finished lunch, by now.
"Why ever would you say that?" Stolas inquired. "Why, you are the most polite lady I've had the pleasure of dining with for some time."
Alastriona smiled at him. "Why, in all my days.."
"What were you gonna ask Stolas, Mama?" Blitzø shoved a tea biscuit into his mouth, oh this had a bit of a cinnamon after taste. His Mama's baking was still the best.
"Oh! Well, Stolas honey, I was wondering, have you a child?"
"Pardon?" Stolas asked, curious, as Blitzø choked on the second biscuit he'd shoved into his mouth.
"I.. know it's an odd question, but.." she summoned two of her voodoo plushies, that had a box each. Which Alastriona took and passed one to Blitzo that was labeled 'Loona'. "I was really in to making a blanket for Loona, a late adoption into the family gift if you will, that I made a second one. I was hoping, well, I mean.."
Stolas looked at the box, and almost started to cry, pulling out his phone and showing a picture of his daughter, "this is my Octavia."
Alastriona pulled a pen from her breast pocket, writing on the box in neat cursive 'Octavia', putting it back in it's place before passing it to Stolas. "I hope I spelled her name right-!"
Stolas had gotten up, tripping over himself to get to and hug the woman as he cried. "Thank you! Oh, this means to much, Alastriona! Anything you want, anything in the underworld, I shall give it to you as payment!"
"Oh dear." The deer hugged the owl. "Just let me know if she likes it."
Blitzø smiled as he watched before looking at the box for Loona. Oh, she was going to love the blanket! She needed a new one, ripping the other one in anger a few days ago.
Needless to say, lunch was a success.3

"Octavia!" Stolas was happy as he walked in to the mansion.
"What is it?" Octavia asked, looking up from her phone where she was just scrolling through her news feed.
"I have a gift for you!" Stolas presented the box. "It is from Blitzø's mother."
Octavia hummed curiously, putting the phone off to the side, and taking the box. It had cursive writing, her name was spelled correctly in unfamiliar hand writing, before opening it. Her eyes widened, seeing a handmade dark blue blanket of star constellations.
".." Octavia removed it from the box, her nose twitching as she wrapped it around herself. "I love it.." Octavia said quietly, it was a warm blanket and made with love. "It smells like love."
Stolas was crying, before he shifted the box and heard something inside. "Hm?" He looked in to see a voodoo plush within, and a note, 'I hope you don't mind my putting something extra in with the blanket'.
Octavia saw the plush, picking it out of the box and looking at it before hugging it against her. "I love her." And Octavia hadn't even met her, already giving her loving gifts that were handmade - when most if not all of them were mass produced and bought.
Stolas hugged Octavia. "And she will love you too. I will see if Blitzy can arrange another meeting with his mother to thank her."
"She doesn't have a phone?" Octavia was curious.
"No, love. She's, shall we say, old fashioned." Stolas knew damn well Alastriona was a technophobe after their lunch meet up.
"How about a letter?" Octavia asked with a teasing smile. "Old people wrote to each other with letters, right?"
"A wonderful idea, my little girl! Oh, she'll love it!" Stolas said with a grin.

"Loona!" Blitz was on cloud nine, jumping about as he entered the house.
"What?" Ah, she's in the kitchen!
"I have a gift from Nana for you~!" Blitzø pranced into the kitchen were Loona was pouring herself some coffee.
"Really?" Loona set the pot back down, before taking the box and ripping it open. A voodoo plush fell out, and Loona held a blanket in her hand, a note that said 'so sorry it took so long to get this made for you, darling. Welcome to the family'.
"Loona?" Blitzø looked at Loona as she hugged the blanket and scooped up the doll.
"Mine." She said, in reference to the doll and blanket. "I will protect Nana with my life."
Blitzø started to cry. "Yes!" His phone rang - goddamn it. "Hello?"
"Oh, Blitzy!" Fuck it's Stolas. "Octavia loves the blanket! She's writing your mother a note of thanks, and wants to meet her some time! Can you schedule a meeting?"
Oh! "Yeah, sure. Mama is going to love it. I didn't know she'd be gung-ho for grandkids or I'd have seen about adopting more kids. Anyways, I'll get on that. Thanks."
"Are we visiting Nana soon?" Oh, so Loona wanted to see her grandmother?
"I'll schedule it. Stolas' daughter wants to meet her too."
Alastriona was relaxing in bed after a bath, curlers in her hair, smiling as a letter appeared. "Ah! A letter. Hmm. From dear Octavia and Stolas! Perfect!"
There was a state dinner with the Lords of the Eastern Isles starting soon, but I didn’t feel like going. I slipped through a series of secret passages I found in Cair Paravel soon after being crowned.
I went into my large walk-in closet (unnecessarily large, in my opinion), which was part of my set of royal chambers, and changed from my fancy dress and high heels into a plain shirt, trousers, and flat shoes. I grabbed my dagger on the way out of my rooms.
Then I slipped back through the secret passages and out into the orchards.
Someone was already there. It was a young woman who looked only a few years older than me.
Let’s welcome Aly at https://narnian-huntress.tumblr.com/
Alastríona was born to poor parents, Aerion and Lea, and is the youngest of three siblings. Her brothers, Wyllan and Nicolarys, both died in the Battle of Cair Paravel, fighting for Aslan, and her parents died long before of illness; thusly, she is forced to provide for herself. Wyllan had taught her as a young girl how to shoot a bow and so she began to hone that skill, becoming a huntress of dumb beasts in order to put food on the table for herself.
Growing up, she always longed for adventure and love outside her quaint little town. Her brothers wrote home with such tales of excitement from their knights’ training and she wished for a life of more than what she was given. She was always closer with Nicolarys, the younger of her elder brothers, because of his wistful, dreamer’s nature. Wyllan was always a bit more practical and satisfied with his lot than Nicolarys was and thusly, was constantly assuming more responsibilities in order to care for his two younger siblings after the death of their parents. When they died, Alastríona was devastated with no clue as to how she would continue without them. Nevertheless, she gritted her teeth and pulled through. Although a romantic and a dreamer at heart, she has had to come to terms with gritty reality before. Kind-hearted and fierce, she is a force to be reckoned with. All that she desires is love and excitement, in whatever ways they may come to her.
