albamuro’s true purpose as an academy was to ascend to a level of enlightenment akin to godhood. they tried via the labyrinth underneath rassvet and failed. afterwards, they turned to the infection. they believed the host was the key to their success

months into chant and like a year into albamuro’s modern existence and i finally designed the headmaster. him and anuba used to work together, and she keeps him in tabs because she knows hes kinda crazy. hes pretty young for a headmaster too, in his early to mid thirties. i accidentally made him look a little younger but i just needed to actually give him a face

inquisitors are the academy's soldiers, the ones going to plague infested areas and cleaning out the infection. they're the only ones permitted to hunt for the plague's host.

inquisitor scouts are the ones out looking for cases of infection. scouts are not allowed to do solo trips, they must always be in parties of three or more to ensure safety (and in cases of new scouts on their first trips or ventures into dangerous areas, must be accompanied by inquisitors with seniority of a year or more)

surgeons are the basic doctors of the academy. most stay on the grounds full time, but occasionally one will join a party of inquisitors if deemed necessary. surgeons have no specialty, and most are working towards one

by far the most efficient method of getting rid of the plague is fire, which albamuro definitely would know about… so im considering having the inquisitors use cinder’s fire to clean up areas infected by the plague. which would go against albamuro’s official rules, but that place never follows its own damn rules so who care
