The night had been dragging on for what seemed like ages, Marina's head pounded with exhaustion as she entered into the room that she and Albert had reserved for themselves. Of course Albert didn't appear as tired as herself, then again why would he.
Throughout the weeks they had been working tirelessly to perfect a new virus they had started. Extracting files and confidential information from old Umbrella databases as well as contacting a family member of Wesker's to begin a project. Their hands were full and they were finally beginning to get a night off to sleep, Marina figured it was all the same to Albert. But she was going to take advantage of the time while it was available.
Without another word Marina didn't much bother to kick off her shoes as she fell down onto the airbed that they were having to share for the night. The sound of Albert's boots against the hardwood floor apparent in the silent room, sitting up on the side of the bed she had chosen she slipped her coat off as well as her boots.
The sight of Albert walking past the edge of the bed was all she could see, his legs in front of her, turning her attention to look up at him she raised a brow
"What?" She inquired. The feeling of his gaze on her as she sat on the bed forcing her heart to beat faster.
"Your going to sleep already?" He asked, his voice sounded tired, droll even.
Her response was a stifled scoff, the question was absurd to say the least.
"Perhaps you can easily go so long without sleeping, I however need to sleep otherwise I'll be more than useless." She clarified to him before flopping back onto the bed.
Albert's expression remained stiff as he removed his coat and placed it over the chair that was near the corner of the room. No doubt he could go with some sleep himself, their location was secret enough and he may as well take advantage of the time that had been given.
Marina stretched out her back and turned over onto her side, pulling a blanket up over her legs she got comfortable enough to sleep for the night. Her frame dialating as she breathed, her breaths slow and consistent as she dozed off.
Albert turned his attention down to her on the bed, without any regard for what may happen he flopped onto the side of the bed that he was to sleep on.
Marina didn't realize what happened until she found herself being launched into the air and falling to the hardwood floor, the blanket following her and falling down over her head. The event had happened within a matter of moments, now the only remnants of it happening was the sore spots that she now felt at her side, elbow, and shoulder.
Pulling the blanket from her head she looked up to see Albert's gaze fixated on her, a crooked and barely visible smile pulling at the corner of his mouth. Marina allowed a light smile to cross her lips before she pulled herself back onto the bed, flopping down to her pillow a second time. Facing Albert she watched as the smile disappeared as quickly as it had appeared, her body rested beside his as she again began to feel herself drift back off to sleep. Albert's face half covered by the blanket he had as he too began to drift off to sleep.
