Rewatched Mindhunter recently (possibly the smallest fandom that I'm a part of) and was recently made aware that a lot of people headcanon Holden as autistic. I kinda saw it for most of the show, but the moment that sealed the deal was near the end of S2 where they're staking out the river and Holden's paired with Jim Barney and after an indeterminate amount of time he watches Barney remove his tie and just...copies him?? And then hangs it on the central rear view mirror to keep it from creasing while Barney just threw his wherever?? Peak trying-to-imitate-neurotypicals-and-just-slightly-missing-the-mark behavior, man has to have the neuron divergence
