Divine photographed by Albert Watson for Andy Warhol's Interview magazine, 1978.
Interview (February 1978):
Divine looks like her name in Zandra Rhode's couture creation of silk chiffon banana leaves. Divine, the darling of tout le demimonde since she first appeared on the screen in "Pink Flamingos," opens February 3 at Hurrah's Theater Disco in "Neon Woman," a play written expressly for her by Tom Eyen. Ron Link directs, and Divine plays, as she puts it: "Flash Storm, mother of one and strip joint owner, confronting emotional conflict surrounding her fading career as a big time peeler." Here she is photographed by Albert Watson; hair by Mauri Hopson; makeup by Vincent Nasso.
