This was stupid.

Jacks done a LOT of questionable things but rarely could they be so readily identified as ‘no, this really is bloody idiotic of you’.

Still, he had nothing else going for him. All the proper private investigators had already told him to give up. He was lucky the last one even humored him enough to scribble down this ‘referral’ before kicking him out.

He dialed the number on one of his burner phones, and stared intently at the picture he had printed out.

This bloke probably wasn’t going to pick up. It was probably a pizza place. Didn’t matter- What was one more dead end?

If anything, that had made Lucas pause.

"Buddy, I don't-" Scratching his head, the lanky man took a step back and looked at his victim. "..we don't drink that stuff 'round here, but uh.. thank ya anyway."

He'd made all sorts of disgusting alternatives, but what was to be expected when his family ate what they did?

Lucas tapped the pipe on his shoulder where he had it resting before pointing at the other with it and chuckling, speaking up again. "Y'got one shot to tell me why I shouldn't 'do this'. Start talkin'.."

Jack blinked, before he began to laugh. Full on, hands on knees laugh

Oh no, Clint might get the wrong idea! he better calm down and reel it in. "W-Wait" Jack inhaled and gently reached to take Clint's hand in his own "I'm laughing because I was just about to ask you out."

He smiled at the other, for once he was the one red in the face and visibly anxious "So...dinner? Tonight?" His eyes were bright

Gifts were an uncommon treat, and he couldn’t help the flutter of excitement when Clint mentioned what it was. Salvatore hadn’t had cake in.. He couldn’t even remember how long it had been. And it was something he had never tried, or even heard of before- something new. That was even more special.

The cake itself was almost impossibly out of place in his home, pristine, even perfect. Almost too pretty to eat. He hesitated.

“Are.. Are you sure this is for me?”

“Don’t-.. Don’t say that.” His trembling voice was almost a whisper. He wanted to believe that- so strongly that it almost hurt to hear someone say it. And yet.. 

“It isn’t.. Nice to tell lies.”

|| Roisin is very all-or-nothing when it comes to love, in the sense that once she knows it is “safe” to love someone, she will give her absolute devotion. She has a very pure form of love and is very gentle and sweet with her lovers. She gives them her absolute trust very quickly, which tended to result in a hell of a lot of heartbreak when she was younger.

|| That being said, it can take quite a lot for her to get to that point. She might have strong feelings for you that she sometimes acts on in quiet physical ways (eg. gently brushing your hand as you pass by, softly touching your back to show you that you have her support in a tough time, saying sweet things to you if you are crying, etc.), but it is much harder to get her trust than it is her affection.

|| To get to the ACTUAL question after all that context, it’s more likely that Roisin will spoil a lover than be spoiled back, at least in the love sense. Although, any love you throw her way she’d treat like something rare and precious. She cherishes every part of the love she gets- in really any relationship now that I think about it.

Jack has rarely made any of his money through legitimate means. His time in a gang had taught him many, ahem, trades. When he's not picking pockets, he's out trying to scam his marks. Once, he sold someone an 'exotic octopus skull'.

Ultimately, Jack is a survivor and he'll use that to justify trying to make a quick buck off someone he deems an idiot.

Jack chuckled, grinning at the young man before him, giving him a soft grin. “You’d be surprised, young man. Most can’t get out of my arms after a good time. I love cuddling up to a partner after an intimate romp in the sheets.”
