I was tagged by: mooshlam Sorry it took so long to answer. It's been a weird time for me these past few months.
My answers:
Are you left or right-handed?
right-handed
If you were an article of clothing what would you be and why?
Um... huh... probably a warm jumper because I'd like to make people feel comfortable and happy. Though I'd probably be the itchy wool variety, that you can't wear directly on skin, because I'm not comfortable with getting too close to people anymore and it wasn't supposed to get this deep but here you go.
What is the most played song in your music library?
It all changes so fast, but ok. Right now it's probably 'Take Me to Church' by Hozier or possibly 'Monster' by Mikky Ekko.
What required book (for school or otherwise) have you hated the most?
A Polish book Ludzie bezdomni ('Homeless people'). I gave up after the first chapter.
Conversely, what required book have you loved (or didn’t hate intensely)?
From the world literature list, Crime and Punishment by Dostoyevsky. I liked The Trial by Kafka too.
If you have one, what is your favorite tea or coffee?
White tea mixed with green tea (with honey).
What country would you most like to visit and why?
Right now Spain, and more specifically Catalonia, because I miss it so much...
What is the best dish you are capable of cooking?
How do I decide? I like cooking in general. My brother likes my chicken stew and cabbage soup. I like my pizza. My mum likes my chicken curry, my dad always nags me to do a Spanish tortilla, so I guess it depends?^^
Weirdest encounter with a total stranger?
Hm... I guess that you could count the time when a man approached me asking for money to buy food (though when I offered to buy him some, he refused). I had to wait for a bus home, and he just sat with me for about 40 minutes and told me about the time when he was in an army camp, and other things that happened to him. When I still didn't want to give him any money when my bus arrived, he got angry and walked away muttering.
Your opinion on the oxford comma?
Well, as a non-native English speaker, I'm... not really sure. I guess I need to educate myself.
albino-frog replied to your post “Ugh. Personal anxiety rant. Just need to get it out. [[MOR] I’m...”
Ahhh tumblr app killed my much longer original reply, but basically I just wanted to say I'm in an eerily similar situation and I'm around if you want someone to rant at :)
::hugs:: for you too, then, especially if you're dealing with this sort of thing. And thank you. I feel better now that I've ranted, even if it doesn't actually, you know, fix anything. Haha.
Hey! Ok so I haven't seen a ton of Poland yet, but I would say definitely go hiking in the Tatra mountains if you can, it's gorgeous. I've heard Singapore has the highest quality of life in the world, but I Robt know if that's true (the guy who told me was a tad bit obsessed). Would you agree? What's the best thing to do there? And why Germany? Anyway, nice meeting you! I realized both our usernames involve oddly colired animals :) -Maggie
Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, I've been so ridiculously stressed these past few weeks trying to settle my travelling and everything. But I'm good now! HI!
I think hiking in the mountains sounds fantastic. I googled it a bit, the scenery looks amazing. I would definitely like to try that.
Singapore is pretty cool, but I guess it also depends on what you consider to be part of what determines standard of living. In terms of like cleanliness we're good, we're fantastic with unemployment as well (last I checked it was below 2 or 3% i think!) and so on. but we also have a very fast paced and stressful lifestyle, so in this respect, not so much. But it's flattering to know that someone would be obsessed with our country like, that's not expected at all for me, and it's pretty cool.
In Singapore? It's kinda fun to go on food hunts. I love doing that. There's tons of fantastic food around for ridiculously cheap, so my friends and I like to just travel around the country seeking out good food. I'm not so much into clubbing so I can't say this with any certain authority, but the foreigners who come tell me that the clubs here are pretty awesome. So, if you like that kind of thing!
I think Germany is really cool. It's a country that's fascinated me since I was 15? So I've basically started learning the language recently, and am doing all i can to get better at it, so I can read books in German. I think the culture is really rich, and the history of the nation is super interesting, and I kind of just want to read everything in its original language so I can get the proper gist of it. So, I'm currently in berlin doing a language course (I'm somewhere between B1 and B2 standard, if you're familiar with German language standard thingies), and it's pretty cool.
It's super cool to meet you too! And yes! I love your username. It's so cute. :D
Maggie, 24, I'm addicted to reading & travelling, old username of mine, because of Doctor Who!, annnd unman I'm American but currently working in a hostel in Poland. What about you?
Hello Maggie! Fantastic to meet you! :D Myself, my name is Rachel, and I'm turning 21 this year.
Reading and travelling are wonderful things to do, I'm totally with you on that one. :)
I think your username is fantastic. I love it.
You're living in Poland now? That's absolutely wicked. I definitely want to visit Poland some day, it sounds brilliant. How do you like it there? What's the best thing to see in Poland?
Myself, I'm Singaporean, currently living in Singapore (tiny place in Asia), though if everything works out I should spend the next year in Germany, which I would love to do. :) My user name is basically from my two favorite colours (purple and orange), and because i like sheep. Also my name has some sheep-y connotations, so there you go.
It's very nice to meet you! :D Do stay in touch! I find I often meet followers, and we exchange one message and that's the end. D:
