How did Diantha end up so…nice? kind? a decent and well rounded person? It just doesn't seem she had many role models to go off of in childhood.

Dia and her brothers spent a lot of their childhood living with their aunts and uncles on her mother's side. Most of the Albrands who survived the civil war were generally reasonable people who loved her mother Katerina, so plenty of role models from that department, like her aunts Violeta and Odelia. I'd say she takes a lot from Violeta, who was a gentle soul compared to Katerina.

Basically, living with Gunter and Violeta as your psuedo-parental figures, as well as having your father who is still very sane really goes a long way to make you better adjusted, I would think.

I honestly completely forgot that by extension, Lockie was Diantha’s and Marius’ cousin, too. What was his relationship like with them?

Marius made fun of Lockie all the time for being a bit of a scaredy cat like Xander when they were kids and consequently got in trouble for it. Meanwhile, Diantha and Lockie were cooking buddies with Peri. To be honest, the Albrands were a bit of their own little mini-family before half of them died.

do the albrand core family live in windmire or elsewhere in westerstede?

For economical purposes, the Albrand just live in Windmire. Most noble houses own some place to stay in for when they have to visit the capital.

Highly likely. He probably ended up fighting a lot of his own family, which is probably why he’s so difficult with Xander and the rest of the kids. He used to be a lot nicer when his two daughters (Katerina and Violeta) were still alive. Now he’s all about that tough love. Still a big asshole tho.

What do you mean when you said House Albrand was split up. Do you mean a Main Albrand House and a Branch House

A large noble family like Albrand has multiple branches as well as vassal houses to contend with amongst themselves, so that’s a bunch of lesser factions capable of banding together and causing absolute havoc on each other. So think lots of cousins fighting each other because their parents say so, or they just don’t like whoever’s sitting on the throne.

The possibility of having twins is genetic, like if one of your parents is a twin, you have the higher possibility of having twins in the future. This is what I meant by the genetics for twins, not what they look like. I understand that there isn’t a set look for younger Garon, and that Xander and the twins get their looks as a mix of both parents.😅

Well, in that case, I don't think I've ever said in text that Katerina had a twin. But I also never confirmed Violeta's age, only that she was younger, so if I really wanted to push it, Violeta and Katerina could be twins, but Katerina was always insistent she's the older one and Violeta just rolled with it, which is very in character for both of them.

I also think it'd be equally fun and tragic that their father Augustine had a twin, and killed him during the civil war. And the drama if said brother was the father of Odelia. Who married the only Durand to defect from his own family. Who is also the most eligible person to be the head of the Albrands. Haha. Ahahaha.
